Ping-Pong Game with Bangsar CG

It was a free CG week. So our CG leader planned a game with Bangsar CG. We met at his old school Catholic High School (CHS).

This is the court area, two tables with net and two without. The two without nets, we used as practice tables.

22 FEB 08: Kick Starting CG for 2008

We kicked started CG on Friday night, the first gathering for 2008!

Josh with our CG Leader, Jack had already left for Australia 24hours ago...

Starting our CG off with loads of laughter :)

Familiar faces and she must have went... "Alamak...like that... " or " Common...", btw long time no see and good to have ya back.

Nothing beats Stephen and his cheeky smile, he's up to something. hahahah

Alright let see what we have here, CG and ice-breaking games....they had just the right person to do it, Jo' and when he holds a stick, you know its a "sticky" game which obviously he's gonna watch and laugh :P

Stephen got caught in the center, doing some superr tricks with the stick, not acutally he's suppose to hit which ever name a person mentions. The person who is slow to mention the next name will be hit.

Punishment for Stephen...thats a pain one from Hun.

The next game master, Winson sets out to play the "What if..." game, which was pretty interesting.

Everyone writes what if about something and passes the paper to the next person to answer...

... Next after answering the paper, the person on the right will read out the question and the person on the left would read out the answer...try that out, its fun.

Our two new members, graduated from HighSchool to join us. obviously not the one the chair :)

PCCG Buzz 3 (28th January - 3rd Feb)

Hey all!

It's buzzing in the newsroom now and I'm taking a breather from my consuming workload just to relaxxx. I've realised a few of you guys being absent last Sat, some I know why and some are really missing in action for quite a while now. WHERE ARE YOU PEEPS??? You know who you guys are and we're missing you... Aww :)

I'm running through our syllabus for CG teaching this year... It's something that would build you up, really good materials are given this time round. Not letting anything out yet, but it would really benefit your spiritual growth.

We all mourn the passing of our 2nd bubblyy PCCG mascot, Lady, who happens to be RachC's puppy... It's a sad thing, but hey, Lady's gone back to be one with nature again... Animal Heaven. :)

In my devotion today, the issue of 'challenge' was brought up. And I bet, in our daily living, we'd face challenges, no matter how small or big it is. And yes... we all do know that no challege is too big for God, sure, but sometimes, when it's only you that seems to be in the picture and no one else, remember that God does not always give things to you. Certain things you MUST claim!

Dueteronomy 1:21 (NLT)
Look! He has placed it (your land, your challenge, your blessing!) in front of you. Go and occupy it as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don't be afraid! Don't be discouraged!'

I crossed referenced this verse and found much encouragement...

I face new challenges everyday, I go to sleep with this things in mind... But I now am extra encouraged! I hope you would be too.

I realised that God blesses, but it is we that are responsible to claim these blessing bestowed to us, to claim ownership, to mark our territory that God gave to us! RAWRRRR!

So this week, go, be that conquerer, because the strength that we have is not of men. It's of God.

SOOOOOO HOLY ah... Aih... get used to this kids... LOL!

Hey all! I really miss you guys, a lot in fact, but I have some stuff over here that has me occupied. Everything's getting a little crazy for me right now. Stuff are happening almost everyday for me. Soon I shall be starting my internship as well at The Sun. Pray for me yeah! I really need all the anointing to excel.

Alright, here are the things you need to know.

CG would officially begin only after Chinese New Year. Right now, the College CG Leaders have our own 'mini Cg' with Rose and Issac as our CG leaders as we plan and watch the materials that we have installed for the next 4 months of CG teaching. Do continue to have your mamak sessions, your boardgame sessions and tell me about them cause, I'd love to drop by if I can after the meetings on Fridays. Jack would be joining me at times when he can make it because he's very much my assistant no matter what.

Saturday service would be at L5 at 530 pm every week from now. We're pretty much logistically planned out already. Our transportation woes are not that big anymore. But whatever it is, if you rely on people for a ride, make sure you do not clash with their Saturday agenda alright.

I think we have to find at least two permanent spots for CG venue. But let me confirm our regular spots that we normally use.

We'll sort the venues out later, but here's a clearer picture. Anyone else wanna open their home?

Every Sunday, beginning from the 13th Jan to the 3rd of Feb there would be like a time of 'orientation' for the Ex-F5s that would be joining us in YC. So those who miss being in YC could join me. I'll at least get 2 to 3 people from CG every week to come and mix with our new members alright. I'll keep you informed!

The new year's here, and growth is expected.

This year, let's be bolder in prayer. It encourages me a lot when we have members just come out in willingness to intercede when we're praying. Let's have lesser walls between one another, feel free to tell me how you day's been. I'll be there. In fact all of us would be there for you. Rachel Chan would still be here especially for you girls yeah. Not that I'm pushing the mentoring to her, but Rach would know what to do better. Guys, I'll take your sharing with much respect and understanding.

But, overlooking the gender specifics, we as leaders are readily available for you. The purpose of this is not to tell you not to do things you should not do, but to encourage you to head on the right direction, the direction of the cross.

As you hold yourselves accountable to me, do also hold me accountable to what I do, for it is also through you that I find my strength. God's here to help me and He's blessed me with all of you to spur me on.

I read and reflected on Acts 2 today, and I pray that we'd live to see a great CG to happen this year.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. I like what Elder Dorai said, to stand firm in your faith. But I realised that it'll be more significant, there will be greater strength to stand together, deeply rooted in what we really believe in because when the winds of the world come, we'd remain unshaken like the trees in the forest.

God, I commit the destiny you have for us this year. Hold us tight, we're clinging on to you too. Make us firm in you. Amen.

12 NOV: Ying Roe Birthday Celebration Pt.1

Time has came finally for somebody to turn 20. We were suppose to meet in Gardens at 7:30PM so i left early pick Angeline up and yes knowing the Traffic well got in the jam and out on time. Then news came in that Hun is stuck in office would be a little late, means Birthday girl would be late too... Anyway reaching so early now, we managed to shop for her gift when Josh, Rach and the gang arrived.

We finally landed in Italianies at approximately 9:00PM for dinner with our very very hungry stomachs. This is Puchong CG who are here.

The man of our CG :) we all know him, Hun... cheers... see that big decision making face ahahha...yes he's pretty good at making decisions in general.

And here we are on a very big feast with salad arriving first... i love the garlic bread and olive oil couldn't resist it.

Here comes my Hot Chocolate Drink....which has a really funny story behind it... here its how it went;

I stirred the cup with the green straw and sucked using the straw then i turned to Josh and commented, "Why can't they give a bigger straw?!"...thinking to myself it might be some sort of style drinking with this straw but sure wasn't practical. Then Josh turned and 'laughed', "That straw is not for you to drink with!", he continued laughing.... ok that's pretty embarrassing and really funny.

Delicious aint it? Yes it sure was.

Cutting much story shot, because i need time to study.

Puchong CG wont let him go off so easily.... it was a surprise for him. Jack came prepared to share his last lesson which he was supposed to but we stopped him in his tracks :) SURPRISE

Its time to tie him up, so he cant see what we are up to.

now the big gangsters prepare and deciding what we should do to him.

Torture session....hahahah...no we did not.

Anyway after makan and all -cutting short- its sharing session by everyone, telling Jack what we think of him and how he has played a role as a leader and friend in each one of our lives.

Uncle Jack is his nick, gifts and cards were given to him as a farewell gift.

Then its prayer session for Uncle Jack after he has told us what he thinks of CG and everyone.

We demanded him to bless us before he goes hahaha...well not really but since he's annointed leader so he prayed a prayer of blessing.

A-MAY-ZING Tool

Greetings from Kiwiland!

As promised, here's a wee update on what's been on (and off) with me from this side of the world. Now, I can't promise a post as good and heartfelt as Auntie Chew Har's but I will try and make this as encouraging as I possibly can. By the way, I hope all of you have been getting on well with your lives...

So anyway, thanks so much for remembering me in your prayers as well as the worship gig that happened about 3 weeks ago. It was a big success! Now that I have the time, allow me to give a wee explanation about it. The idea of this gig is mainly to have everyone focusing on worshiping God and to take the attention away from the band. Hence, the place was set up in such a way where the musicians were at the corners of the room and the people were meant to be in the center. As for the worship leader and backing vocalists, we were meant to be amongst the people. You know, it really does make a difference when there isn't a full band up on stage; I mean, I could really see people just getting into it and the comfy environment (with pillows and artists painting while worship was going on) really added to the want and desire to draw closer and just get lost in His presence. Perhaps YC should have a go at this =)

Also, I've this one other thing I'd like to share. Some of you may know that I've had my hands full these past two weeks because of crunch time at uni- living the typical student life with essays (super long ones at that!), presentations and assesments all due one day after the other and a few on the same day. Needless to say, I started drinking coffee like orange juice and hardly had enough sleep. Let's not even TALK about the stress, aye? And half way into the week, "karma" (for lack of a better word) came knocking on my door- and I could feel my body literally giving up on me. I wouldn't have mind if it weren't for the fact that I was leading worship at churuch that Sunday- I didn't even have a full band! And so my constant cry was,

"GOD!!! WHY me? WHY NOW?! How am I supposed to get up there with just 3 guitars and not sound like a frog?!"

I suppose it's times like these that make you realize how impotant it is to leave it up to Him. After all, worship IS all about Him, aye. So, fully trusting Him, I thrusted myself into it. Honestly, I've never worshiped like I did that day in a long time (did that even remotely make sense? I hope so). It's A-MAY-ZING what can happen when you let yourself go and get lost in his presence, fully acknowleging (did I spell that right?!) He is God. The songs we sang were pretty old school but suddenly, it bore sooooo much meaning and I tell you in all honesty, I felt as if the 5 tonne of bricks dropped on my sohoulders those two weeks got buldozed right through by Him. I walked out of church feeling absolutely light as a feather AND when I went to university on Monday, a friend of mine said,"gosh, it's so nice to see you so happy...as opposed to how grumpy you looked last week".

Dear Folks;

Ah ha, its been a long time. I remember telling you I’ve moved on and in many ways I have at a really quick pace. I also made a deliberate decision not to write so often as to suggest to you that moving on is basically what we’re all about especially in God’s Kingdom.

I trust that as leaders you are all still on fire for the things of God and are keeping yourselves in the fear of God to see significant results that you hope to achieve in YC for this year.

Perhaps that has been my topmost priority for this year as I do what I believe I’m called to do. It does sometimes make you weary doesn’t it; all the ‘ministry’ and ‘vision’ call upon our lives as leaders of one level or another. It’s a weight we carry which sometimes border upon being a burden to being a heavy load. The more involved I become in the work here the more easily I feel myself getting tired; not just physically but spiritually as well. How many of us (if we were really honest) wish we could lead simpler lives or less hectic ones for the sake of the gospel. In recent months, my own schedule has been like a whirlwind and when I lay in bed at nights, I do wonder if all that I am doing is making any impact to what I believe to be God’s plans and purposes. For those who are statistically inclined, we may want to see some evidence that we are actually making progress.

At my age and with the size of family that I have plus an always ‘on the go’ husband that I’m always trying to catch up with, my hands and feet and body (lets just get straight to it and say my whole being) gets drained of all its energy almost as immediately as it gets recharged.

Which brings me to the point I made earlier; keeping ourselves has to be our topmost priority. The call of ministry and vision must never be replaced by the call of the love of God and the lost. That makes the core of who I am and what I do. I learnt here in aussieland where sports is a God that physical trainers basically work on the core of the individual to lend strength to the other parts of their body. The core supports the rest of the strength of the arms and legs and allows the individual to go beyond his physical limits without feeling the strain or without tiring out before he has achieved what he hopes to with his physical body.

I find that to be so true for the spiritual as well. I have been working conscientiously on building my core strength through the Word of God; the spiritual disciplines of prayer and worship. It so helps me to then realize that that core call of my love for God and His heartbeat keeps my love for ministry and the vision I have for the work I do. It gives me the strength I need even though I’m running harder and longer than I have before. Too often our whole perspective of the spiritual life is focused on the call of ministry with busyness and hard work being our priority. I am sorry to say that, that wont see us through the long haul. We get too tired and too discouraged to hear from God or we don’t hear from Him at all and just be human doings instead of human beings.

I am terribly excited that the church here is going on a 21 days fast soon. That is one thing that has been so lacking. Nothing can compare to the call of corporate fasting as opposed to individual fasting. Fasting together for something we believe together is vital to move the hand of God. Lent season was not the same without the corporate fasting with people we love and work side by side with. If there was anything I missed most; that was one of the things I sorely miss of days back then when we get encouraged seeing people fast from nasi lemak to computer games to msn to just plain eating ; the biggest culprit being the big black man himself. Perhaps after these 21 days, he may lose that great burden he has been carrying around since he came here. A burden filled with too much cream and sugar and rich foods.

Do pray for us. Unc Mike and myself will be going to Rwanda (which is in Africa for those who don’t know) in June. I can only speak for myself and say that I have mixed feelings about going. The only reason being that my kids will be on their own and this time without the usual family of FAMILY and YCians around. YET I am really excited about Rwanda and having worked with the Africans for more than a year; I truly treasure these people. They are so similar to us in so many ways but their experiences are nothing we could have imagined; many of them having lost children and family and loved ones. If ever I thought that I had a heart for cross cultural ministry, this has been enforced since coming here. Recognising each one’s strengths and weaknesses and being sensitive to them has been my biggest challenge. My shift to being the International PA to Missions work here and the dealings of God in my own heart has led me to believe that God is working a new thing in my own life. Like Sarah, I have often times laughed at what God is doing because I am close to half a century old! Can God really be speaking new things in my own heart for the future? Perhaps He is preparing me since the man I live with constantly reminds me that there is no such thing as retirement for him and he still has dreams he has not seen fulfilled.

God bless you dear ones! May you still be hearing God with new things every day. He is at work around you even though you don’t realize it! I am bold enough to say that usually it is the unexpected plans that spring up on us that is God’s ways of dealing with us rather than our own well planned plans. Haha if that makes any sense!

So take care. Strengthen yourselves. Work on the core call of your life and you wont go wrong! When you no longer hear from God is when you need to have a relook at your spiritual state. Long live YC and all the purposes God has through her!

We're looking at going to Redang as a CG sometime later this year. Will probably be discussing this soon, but for now how many of you all would be interested, and when can you all make it??? Definately the end of the year is out cos of YC camp and events, PLUS, it's monsoon season... so latest would be Sep-Oct. So check your calendars yeah??

The following is a list of resorts that are offering very good rates for 3d/2n snorkelling packages. However, for Redang Bay Resort and Redang Reef Resort, the promotion only lasts till September.

In my personal opinion, having been to Redang twice, Redang Pelangi is the best for its location and rates, and I since I've stayed there before I can say that it's good... service, food, and cleanliness-wise. Redang Reef also is quite clean... but slightly pricier. Redang Bay is the cheapest, but I would rather pay a few extra bucks than stay there (lol). Food and snorkelling equipment are included for all three packages.

Sorry people! Wanted to invite all but we did not have enough cars! However this morning was the most random makan session out of the least planning we had ever done! Rating 3.5/5. And oh, did I mention that Ian... erm... kinda wet his pants thanks to Roe? (Was it you ah? haha!)

Up and coming plans. The movie season is here and Xuan Hun would be gathering us together for a movie marathon when Spiderman 3 and Pirates come out! How cool is that! :D Samuel, could you organise a rock climbing/ice skating session? HAha! It'll be fun! CG is indeed about fun also RIGHT! :D

How God Fuses Us Together

Joshua Foong, our speaker for today continuing from last weeks message.

We Desmond back with us but Rachel Chan was ill so she couldn't make it. We also did have two new comers for this year, Janna (which had joined use once or twice before) and Aubrey/Audrey (sorry i have memory loss with names).

Jack our next CG leader. Puchong CG is very blessed to have 3 CG leader hmm....ahhahah great isn't it. Does not mean we could sit around okey.

Melvin, having a great week at college to, as it was his first week.

After CG we had long discussion, sharing and chit chat. It was shared by everyone, how CG was like to them in through the years, months or days for those whom were new. Awesomely we notice changes in each one of our lives for those who have been with PCG for a long time. Kim Fooi is one of those who has been a great blessing and transformed by God.

The other side of the hall Josh and Jack catching up with the new ladies. ahmm....

Roe, ...she had a new hair do and the princess of this house, so dont play play.

Happy April Fool's Day (1 Apr.) to all. I must confess that I have not fooled anyone on this 'foolish' day since my high school days. Anyway, let's get back to business and shift your focus back to this issue of PC CG Newsletter.

YC/CG Highlights

1. There is NO CG Meeting this coming Friday (6/4) due to Good Friday. Do observe this day significantly in our own ways.

2. Easter Day will be celebrated this Sunday at the main sanctuary. Therefore, there is no YC Service as it is FAMILY SUNDAY. Rejoice and give praise to Jesus for He has risen on that very day 2000 years ago.

3. If you remember, I highlighted that the following Saturday (14/4) would be our session with Ps. Glenn Kruithoff of Paradise Community Church @ church. Well, the session will be postponed to 28/4 (Saturday). Please take note. More details will be given soon.

4. The FGA Family Sports Carnival will be held on May 1 (Labour Day) - Tuesday. Do make the effort to join your families in various home fellowship groups. There will be games,other fun-filled activities and FOOD definitely!! Hehe. Venue: Matsushita Sports Complex, Shah Alam, Time: Morning - Evening

5. The Youth Group of FGA Taiping will be organizing a camp for youths later this year.
Date: 8-11 Dec.
Camp site: Tapah
YC is in need of 12 volunteers to help facilitate this camp. Do let me know if you're interested.

6. PRAYER MEETING this WEDNESDAY (4/4). Do come and support both Josh and myself as we're chairing the prayer meeting this week. We would really appreciate if you can make it :) Above all, God would very much be pleased ;)

Prayer Needs

1. Ying Roe's cousin (non-Christian, a rather staunch Buddhist) is in need of prayer. She is currently in critical condition due to the cancer cells that have spread to the brain fluids. Her immediate family members are beginning to see a breakthrough in this situation. Pray that God will move mightily and touch the heart of her cousin.

2. Our CG mama, Rach. C is very sick (not so critical though). She's down with fever, flu, cough and having ulcers in her mouth. Poor thing. See, that's what you get for not drinking water:P Anyway, do keep our mama in prayer.

3. Winson, Alicia and Vincent will be sitting for their respective exams soon. Do pray for them.

4. Ying Roe went for a scholarship interview with Taylor's College last Thursday. Pray that she'll make it through the next round.

Welcome to yet another edition of exciting and informative PC CG Newsletter. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Kong Sir who joined our CG during the first service today. Having said that, our current 'organel' count stands at 39 (mailing list - 36, excluding myself, Melissa Leong and Rhema). The next NEW member to our CG would be the 40th member of PC CG! Cont. Unity Part 2

Hey all... finally got around to posting up pics of the first "official" CG activity... which illustrated how we as a church need to work together to achieve a task or a vision. Here they are... Hope I got the names correct (yikes)...

Basically, Melvin was supposed to spread butter on a slice of bread Emily was to hold out, and then they were supposed to feed Xuan Hun that piece of bread. The catch was that both Melvin and Emily would be blindfolded, which symbolized us as members of the church. We don't always see the big picture which is why we have our leaders and pastors to "be our eyes" in that sense and to guide us towards the vision of the church.

The group Unity Illustration. Where we all hold arms as a strong unity effect compared to just holding fingers. Most of the time we might be just connected in unity by a finger, and the lesson is we should be united for one another as strong and close as link with arms.
The Question of the day was;

How far are willing to go for this CG?
Where do you thing CG can go?
What heights/levels of unity? Family?
Is our spiritual life growing? With CG?

Think about it for those who werent able to attend last Friday's CG.

One thing about PCG everyone has to learn to be a poser ahaahha nah la... we like taking pictures together see...one good unity picture.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Welcome to Edition 8 of the PC CG Newsletter 2007. Please read on and keep yourselves informed on the latest happenings in CG and YC. For those of you who didn't turn up for today's main service, you have no value! Haha, just kidding. Landa Cope, an American citizen who is currently residing in Switzerland spoke about the values in the 10 commandments. It was indeed amazing to see how each commandment adds value as it descends from the first to the last. To summarize, "It all goes back to commandment no. 1 which is to believe that He is real and that you shall not worship other Gods. When you begin to realize that you have value, your life has value, hence your work, time, ... have value'"

CG/YC Highlights (*Pls take note)

1. CG meeting will be at Ying Roe's residence this coming Friday (23 March). Please be there by 7.45 - 8pm. 3. YC Service this Sunday. College group will meet at L3 as usual.

Future events (Pls take note as well):

1. Ps. Glenn of Paradise Community Church, Adelaide, SA will be speaking on the 13 and 14 April (Fri and Sat). On Fri would be college CG combine at church and you're strongly encouraged to join the evening service on the following day. Attending YC on Sunday would be optional. More updates soon.

2. In the middle of the year (June/July), the college group will be engaging on a series of building healthy relationships, intimacy...etc..stuff that relate to our current generation.

3. July 6 and 7 (Fri, Sat). Ps. Michael Rowan, a highly sought-after speaker all over the world from the United States will be here in KL! It's an honour and privilege to be able to get him to minister to us. YC of FGA KL will be collaborating with Youth Alive Malaysia and Glad Tidings PJ (GTPJ). We're looking at a crowd of more than 2000 young people and it will be spectacular! More updates on that soon.

4. Linked to no. 2, the college ball (which was meant to take place last month) has been rescheduled to 28 July (Sat.). Do bear in mind that it will still be an evangelistic meeting and relates to biblical values. Expect more updates on that as well.

Prayer List

1. Pray for Sam as he will be starting college barely a week after officially graduating Form 6. Pray that he will be able to familiarize and settle well in to the college lifestyle.

2. Pray for Ying Roe, Lydia, and Stephen who are still deciding on their next path in their education.

3. Pray for Timothy as he's currently at Kem Latihan Semenyih for his NS stint.

4. Pray for YC/CG/our mother church, FGA that all activities planned will fall into place.

Sg. Klah Hot Springs, Perak

It was 830pm when most of us arrived there and prepared for departure to Perak, and found that the van need petrol. So we had to wait a little longer and when we departed we were an hour behind time.

The van was packed to it's fullest capacity.

It took us a long journey there, we made one stop in Rawang for those whom need to relieve themselves. Then continued our journey in the heavy traffic all the way to Trolak. We didn't' know it was a school holiday.
Finally we reached Sungkai, Trolak area. Small Village houses were to be seen.

Yes, the Hot Springs sign finally pops out.

Its a long journey in to the Hot Springs area. As we travel further in, the roads begin to get narrower.

Finally we are here at 12:30pm just in time for lunch i suppose.

It was a relief to get off the van, it was hot at the back and wasn't the comfortable of cause.

We spent a few minutes debating on where to keep our belongings and finally decided to keep it in the RM2 locker. Lunch was the tough part, food was almost finished, so it was 2 burgers for me.

This shot was by Jack when we were at the cold water pool. He was taking care of some of our belongings.

Yup thats us, we felt sad to leave Jack up here alone taking photos, so at this point we were deciding to dunk Jack in the pool, ahahha... but somehow we decided not too.

Then we moved on to the hot springs where the water was HOT. Here i think the rocks were hotter.

Josh here is wondering if the water was safe, or would we become steamed meat?

The Circle of Unity!

The Surfers, yes our boards are below us underwater so you cannot see it.

After the Egg boiling and the girls went for Spa which there was a big joke that only those who went will know.

Tired or whatever you maybe feeling they had to run on foot from Perak to KL. Hahahha no aint it but we sure had some interesting teamwork activity. Making a narrow conner the van kit the muddy road side which the tyre would not grip and move forward. We were stuck!
Then we were contemplating in pushing the van, putting a plank under the tyre, or getting a car to pull the van. Thank God an idea came-- just get the van to roll down hill avoiding the ditch and back on to the road. We did it. Here everyone had to exit the van and run up hill.

Where we got in the van and back home safely. Few at the back were all asleep. Other playing jokes and games.

Greetings dear friends!

Before I go further, PC CG would like to extend a warm welcome to TWO new members Melissa Leong (not in the mailing list) and Li Hui! WELCOME to the family of PC CG!
We are already living in the month of MARCH. This serves as a wake up call to those who might have swayed away for too long, enjoying long breaks (Hehe, you guys/girls know who you are :P). Time sure flies! Come next month, bid farewell to the first quarter of year 2007. Here's a gentle reminder to those who sat for SPM last year. Results will be out on 12 March 2007! Jack took a long look at his speedometer before slowing down: 73 in a 55 zone. Fourth time in as many months. How could a guy get caught so often?
When his car had slowed to 10 miles an hour, Jack pulled over, but only partially. Let the cop worry about the potential traffic hazard. Maybe some other car will tweak his backside with a mirror. The cop was stepping out of his car, the big pad in hand.

Bob? Bob from Church? Jack sunk farther into his trench coat. This was worse than the coming ticket. A cop catching a guy from his own church. A guy who happened to be a little eager to get home after a long day at the office. A guy he was about to play golf with tomorrow.

Jumping out of the car, he approached a man he saw every Sunday, a man he'd never seen in uniform.

"Hi, Bob. Fancy meeting you like this."

"Hello, Jack." No smile.

"Guess you caught me red-handed in a rush to see my wife and kids."

"Yeah, I guess." Bob seemed uncertain. Good."I've seen some long days at the office lately. I'm afraid I bent the rules a bit -just this once."

Jack toed at a pebble on the pavement. "Diane said something about roast beef and potatoes tonight. Know what I mean?" "I know what you mean. I also know that you have a reputation in our precinct ." Ouch. This was not going in the right direction. Time to change tactics.

"What'd you clock me at?"

"Seventy. Would you sit back in your car please?"

"Now wait a minute here, Bob. I checked as soon as I saw you. I was barely nudging 65." The lie seemed to come easier with every ticket.

"Please, Jack, in the car"

Flustered, Jack hunched himself through the still-open door. Slamming it shut, he stared at the dashboard. He was in no rush to open the window.

The minutes ticked by. Bob scribbled away on the pad.

Why hadn't he asked for a driver's license?

Whatever the reason, it would be a month of Sundays before Jack ever sat near this cop again. A tap on the door jerked his head to the left. There was Bob, a folded paper in hand Jack rolled down the window a mere two inches, just enough room for Bob to pass him the slip.

"Thanks." Jack could not quite keep the sneer out of his voice.

Bob returned to his police car without a word. Jack watched his retreat in the mirror. Jack unfolded the sheet of paper. How much was this one going to cost?

Wait a minute. What was this? Some kind of joke?

Certainly not a ticket. Jack began to read:

"Dear Jack, Once upon a time I had a daughter. She was six when killed by a car. You guessed it- a speeding driver. A fine and three months in jail, and the man was free. Free to hug his daughters, all three of them. I only had one, and I'm going to have to wait until Heaven before I can ever hug her again.

A thousand times I've tried to forgive that man. A thousand times I thought I had. Maybe I did, but I need to do it again. Even now. Pray for me. And be careful, Jack, my son is all I have left."

"Bob"

Jack turned around in time to see Bob's car pull away and head down the road. Jack watched until it disappeared. A full 15 minutes later, he too, pulled away and drove slowly home, praying for forgiveness and hugging a surprised wife and kids when he arrived.

Greetings from PC CG Newsletter. How was CNY for you guys and girls? I'm glad to know that most of you stayed away from firecrackers and took good care of yourselves. That's the way my fellow friends :). Anyway, please take note of the important highlights for the week.

CG Highlights

1. This Friday (2 March) marks the FIRST Combined CG meeting at church (L3, Wisma FGA). Ps. Daniel Singh will be speaking. DO COME!!! Time: 8 - 9.30/10.00pm. Hope to see you there and you shall be 'rewarded' :)

2. YC Service will be on as usual this coming Sunday. Expect to view the follow up episode on the video that was shown last week to the College Group. We all need the Holy Spirit don't we? DO COME and learn how can you depend on HS in your daily walk with Him! Again, those who come will receive a small token from Uncle Jack ;)

3. I'm sure most of you are aware about our first PC CG outing for the year!! Please take note that it has been postponed to the 10th of March. Do co-operate with the organizing committee namely Sam and Stephen. I hope you guys and girls will also reply to the e-mails that have been sent regarding the trip. Thanks :)

1st Officially CG Gathering

Special Thanks to Emily, Shereen and her Cousin who allowed us to use their pool and mess about at one of the condominiums in Kelana Jaya. Even the security was making some fussy but thank God we were allowed to use the pool.

At first i was expecting a small or usual pool but when we arrived it was a superbly decorated pool area with fountains, sprinklers, bridge and coconut trees and please, they are real ones.

Now this does look expensive pool? the good thing about it, is not deeper than 4ft so im quite comfortable swimming in it.

Here's Fooi doing his basketball tricks. Superb isnt it. Actually it was on slow shutter flash and i was moving the camera to follow him so that he would come out clear.

See what i mean, there's an island with dolphins jumping... beautiful isnt it. I mean, you dont see much of this in most condominiums.

Beautiful pool architecture and landscaping. It gives the real island, jungle feel in the middle of the city.

The others are already swimming and splashing around.

PC CG Newsletter 2007 - Edition 4

Dear friends,
I reckon that most of you are anxious to know whether would there be CG meeting this Friday. Wait no more! More details below :) The CNY mood is definitely well and alive. Spring is in the air people! Time to do some 'spring cleaning' and clear off those dirty old habits :P. Ok, enough of further blabbering by Uncle Jack.

CG HIGHLIGHTS

1. There is NO CG meeting this Friday (16 Feb). Have a great and smashin' CNY people! Stay safe and stay away from firecrackers! Please take note th at CG meeting resumes the following Friday (23 Feb).

2. I shall give you a sneak peak on what's comin' up in the month of March since we're all pumped up for CNY. Haha. On the March the 2nd, College CG combine will be held at church, L3, Wisma FGA. The following Friday will see the start of our CG Syllabus being implemented simultaneously throughout the Cell-sphere of YC. Lol .Get excited! I am :)

OTHERS

1. Calling all GIRLS!! To those who are interested to attend the 'Be that Girl' conference, download the form which I have attached in this mail. I shall extract some important infos and project 'em here for your convenience :)

Guest speaker: Our very own Ps. ROSALEEN GOH!!!!!

Attention GUYS!! Unfortunately, there is no 'Be that Guy' conference on that weekend. Nevertheless, I presume some of you might be interested to watch some girls clad in decent clothing (of course) for a special Fashion Show on Sat, March 10 (there's a ticket of about RM10 for the night rally for non-conference participants). It's time to exercise those eyes guys!! *wink wink* Lol.

2. For those who have nothing to do on Wed, Feb 14 which so happens to be Valentine's DAY. I encourage you to come and display our love and passion for our heavenly father on Wed's Prayer Meeting :) After all, He's our heavenly Bridegroom. Time: 8PM, Venue: Wisma FGA, L3.

PRAYER LIST

1. Lydia will be sitting for the IELTS examinations on 24 Feb. Do keep her in prayer.

2. Pray for every member's safety as they travel back to their respective hometowns to celebrate CNY. Again, please take care of yourselves ya!

3. Florence is sitting for an exam this week if I'm not mistaken. Do keep her in prayer as well.

1. Rachel Ding got a job in a kindergarten. Praise God.
2. Shereen Ang's application to UCSI was approved. We have a future Pharmacist in the house other than a Doctor (Flo). Awesome!~..thank you Lord :)

Dear friends,

As we anticipate the coming of our first official CG meeting, I strongly encourage Everyone to be participative and excited about this Friday's activities as it's definitely going to be fruitful, something we can learn from and DEFINITELY fun! I shall elaborate more in the next few sub-topics for this edition. Make sure you read ALLthe details and information thoroughly to get a clearer picture on what is going to happen this coming FRIDAY (9 Feb).

Highlights of the Week

1. Again, please bear in mind that our FIRST official CG gathering is on this coming FRIDAY (9 Feb). As mentioned in the previous newsletters, year 2007 will feature a whole new dimension in planning and upbringing of our CG community. Having said that, this Friday's activity REQUIRES your participation and openness to join in. Details are as below:

VENUE: Kelana Mahkota Condo, SS7/19, Kelana Jaya, PJ. (Many of you will be puzzled on the chosen location but there's a specific reason for it:) More explanations below)

DIRECTIONS: From Kelana Shell station (Opposite Giant supermarket). As approaching Shell station on the left, Keep LEFT. Turn first left aft Shell. Follow the road..Go straight and turn on the first LEFT turning. You will see Mahkota Condo as you turn in.

TAKE NOTE: We will be meeting at the ESSO Petrol Station before the toll booth of the LDP highway at 7.30PM. All cars will be convoying one another to get to the location. Emily and Shereen will be responsible to guide you guys and girls there. Please please be punctual!!
*We know it's extra expenses for some of you as u need to fetch mbers and havta pay toll.
Thus we will be subsudising the toll payment thru and flow =)* Rmber to get the receipts!

TRANSPORTATION: If you remember, our CG ground rule applies. "NO TRANSPORT is not an excuse for not attending CG gatherings" Should you require transportation, do not hesitate to contact the numbers below:

DRESS CODE: Casual/Beach wear/swimming gear~ (Only applies when you're in the pool)~, please put on something decent when you're in the car :P. I understand that some of you might not be interested in swimming, however there is something significant to this activity. We need ALL of your co-operation to make this a success.

I apologize if I'm stressing too much on this matter. All of us are part and parcel of this cell group and we wish for no one to be left out. Let's be accountable to one another. I believe that most of us are maturing young adults and so we trust that we wouldnt need to run aft you to know if you are coming or not. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. =)

2. Prayer Meeting this Wednesday (7 Feb) @ L3, Wisma FGA. YC's theme this year is Unity in Purpose. Let us unite and grasp the importance of prayer! Rach, myself and Josh will be praying specifically for this Friday's CG meeting. Do join us if you can. Never underestimate the power of corporate prayer!

Dear friends,

Edition 2 of PC CG Newsletter is hot from the oven! Haha. I shall keep this short, simple and informative. Fear not, it won't be as long winded as the first one. However, please read this attentively as there are many important details! I shall highlight the important points so that it would be easier for you.

Highlights for the Week (29 Jan. - 4 Feb.)

1. CONVERGE Conference 2007 (*Strongly encouraged to attend*)
- Last year it was UNITY and this year, it's converging youth ministries to propel a similar vision fueled by unity of course. Dr. George Anadurai from Singapore will be the guest speaker on both days, FRIDAY (2 Feb. - 8.00 PM onwards) and SATURDAY (3 Feb. - 6.00 PM onwards). You are encourage to attend BOTH DAYS. Dinner will be provided after the evening service on Saturday. Do invite your friends!

2. High School Sunday - 4 Feb. There will be a guest speaker from Australia and it's mainly targeted to the high school group. Hence, it's optional for the older ones to attend YC on Sunday. In other words, we can gain a few extra hours of sleep on Sunday :P

3. Samuel and Co. have organized a friendly Futsal match at Score Arena. Time: 3 - 5 PM. For more info. Contact Sam (016-6566260) or Josh (016-6901822)

Naveena C. - Who is She?

Wahai saudari Navee (the girl on the right, Xuan Hun is one lucky fella :P) yang kini berada di Auckland, New Zealand,

Navee, if you're reading this, we at PC CG want you to know that you're not forgotten! We would like to wish you a Happy 20th Birthday! (which falls on the 26th of Jan.). We hope you liked the e-Card which was sent to your Gmail account. If you haven't already seen it, do it now!!! Haha. For the benefit of our new members, Navee was PC CG's first lamb to migrate to NZ because the land there is more suitable for her to 'mingle' around with the cows and other animals. Well, not quite. Navee moved to NZ as her family intended to do so. Although you are few thousand miles away from us, we wanna say that we still love you! Anyway, Naveena Charles was one of the later batch of the pioneers of PC CG. She is known for her tempting and aromatic brownies which will make you crave for more! She is known to be a bubbly yet jovial person in CG and Roe is often associated to be her sidekick. Moreover, she's smart, opinionated and she can psycho-tize people. She has a face of a psychologist but she's not after all. She's currently pursuing her degree in Communications if I'm not wrong. Just a word for you Navee, Jesus is the same where ever you are. Always cling on to the word of God and give thanks to Him in all circumstances. May God bless you and your family abundantly.

PC CG Newsletter - Edition 1

Dear all,

Welcome to year 2007 with even more fruits to bear and goodies in-store! As we usher in the new year, expectations and benchmarks are being set. Over and above, we should always seek God and give glory to Him in all that we do. I believe that year 2007 will be wonderful and indescribable. Continue to strive in our own pursuits and knowing that He is in control. No matter what may come your way, always give thanks to the Lord as you prepare your hearts to receive a new wave of blessings.

CG History:

Puchong CG or better known as PC CG was founded in January 2005 thanks to Rachel Chan whom we dearly love. I believe that most of us didn't know that it was our dear Rachel who jokingly proposed the opening of a new CG in Puchong. Who would have thought that such a joke would actually become a reality It wasn't easy for 'young' Rachel at that time who was at crossroad between pursuing her career or accept God's calling to lead PC CG. By faith, she lay it all down to God and despite her tight and busy schedule, she excelled in both areas till today! With only less than 10 members when PC CG first started, look at where it stands today with 34 members. That's a four-fold expansion in 'organels'. Praise God! Year 2007 will see the rise of a 3rd generation of PC CG-ians.

In other words, you will definitely GROW in CG, physically and spiritually ;)

2. On the 24th of February (Saturday), the College Group committee of YC will be organizing a glitzy yet glamourous event which will be held in a hotel. Stay tuned for more!
3. It's FAMILY SUNDAY this coming Sunday (21 January). Therefore, there's no YC Service. Do join the main service at the main sanctuary at 7.30AM or 11.00AM.

NO TRANSPORT is not an excuse for not attending CG meeting on Fridays! We have about six volunteer 'transportation providers' (also known as drivers) in CG. Their contact details will be revealed in the coming edition of this newsletter.

Prayer Request:

1. Melissa and Ying Roe will be sitting for their respective exams in the coming weeks. Melissa is in her final semester of the Diploma in Accounting course in UTAR whilst Ying Roe is currently preparing for her final major A-level exams. Do keep them in prayer.

Should you have any prayer request, do let me or any of the CG leaders know and we shall pray together. Never underestimate the power of corporate prayer!

Dear All,

Thank you for coming to Puchong CG online.

Puchong CG has grown for 2 over year as it has now enter the 3rd year. God has always been a blessing to us all and thought us much. We are also thankful for having Rachel as your leader for two years in both guiding and teaching us for the past two years. She has now been promoted to be the advisor to our two new CG leaders of Puchong CG who will succeed her, They are none other than, Jack (JackSquare) and Joshua (Joshburped).

Puchong CG welcomes all its new babies who have graduated from high school into the college CG. We hope and look forward in seeing you around and growing in the Lord.

CG will officially begin on 9th February on Friday. (Time and venue will be confirmed).
